Photos from Tour Number.... Bajillion!

This little boy was crawling around on a disk in Piazza della Signoria. The disk commemorates the death of Girolamo Savonarola an Italian Dominican priest. He was anti-Renaissance, held a massive book-burning party and destroyed "immoral art". This round tile is where he was hung and then burned with his right and left hand men in a pretty horrific way.
This is a torch holder (a replica, the real one is in a museum) that is supposed to look like a possessed man-horse that some dude in the Renaissance tamed and did some such thing with. It's near Piazza della Signoria.
Why bother writing about it? Because it's cool and maybe one of you knows what I'm talking about.
So there.
