Summer is Here Baby!

This was the weekend after Father's Day, Olivia and Emma were over so there were bubbles everywhere (of course!).

Emma.

Jessie took these of Olivia and Emma (in a rare moment of inactivity (I stopped blowing bubbles but you can see Emma is about to leap after some that were still floating about on the back porch)).

Zack's Graduation

My cousin just graduated and even though I didn't manage to get any picture of HIM I did get pictures of just about everyone else.
Mom.
Mom and the person who shares most of the same genes with me, otherwise known as "Jessie". Isn't she cute?
My Dad and my grandmother.
There was another two blocks of graduates too... ALOT!
Mom and Jessie again.

MHCC Graduation

President Silverman decided to take a short cut through a back door to Graphic Design Instructor Chris Maier’s classroom but was stopped abruptly by locked glass doors through which students were staring and pointing at the man standing outside with flowers and balloons. Chris, looking very confused, unlocked the door and allowed the president, Cabinet members, Faculty President Gary DeRoest, and others to enter.

Walking to the front of the class, Dr. Silverman called Chris to his side before he announced that this exceptional instructor had been selected to receive a 2007 Distinguished Teaching Award. The students were absolutely delighted that their favorite instructor had been given this award because so many of them had helped nominate her! Chris hugged the President with tears streaming down her face even as the cameras flashed.

CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS! Along with Distinguished Teachers Mike Russelland Valory Thatcher, Chris will be honored at commencement services and all will be gifted with a check from the MHCC Foundation.
This is mummy going up to recieve her award!
Dad and I were camped out on the grass pretty far away, but we still got to see her get the award and watch ALL of the students get the diplomas....
Mummy is the seventh dot from the right.
And then this Crrraaazzzyyyy cowboy showed up during the ceremony. He had only ONE arm tied down by some sort of home-made belt system. Dad and I decided that he had a bad arm that unless he tied it down would get into some serious trouble. Something along the lines of the Hitler arm in Dr. Strangelove. And, to top it all, the arm was totally functional. He was waving things around and holding stuff with it, so it's not like a sling, it was just a strap.
Bizarre.

The House and Surrounding Area

Paul, Katherine, Evan and I went to look at the house we'll be renting next year in Olympia. It's just outside of Oly., near two parks and there's a bike path that looks super easy to negotiate and get into town.
One of the parks.

Katherine.
The front of the house.Looking into the back yard.
The back yard.
back yard yet again, and the sliding door.
Still the back yard.

Here's a video of the house. I decided to take a video so that the layout would be easier to see. The house HAS been trashed (there are three guys living there now and you CAN TELL!) it's pretty disgusting, but that will change over the summer in August when it gets fixed up (good luck Evan!). So... here's a preview!

Ye Who Were Frogs Are No Longer Be-Tailed

This is one of the little guys I've been fermenting in my fish tank. She/He/It has been dubbed Francis and is the cutest example of frog-dom ever to be spawned from jelly.

If they didn't hop out of my hands so often I would carry them around all day.

What's Happenin Good Lookin?

I missed the "Cheap-ass Drag Ball" but thanks to Facebook I now have my very own pictures.
The loverly couples...
