New Seasons vs. Whole Foods. So, from what I've been able to glean, it looks like Whole Foods is attempting to merge with Wild Oats but the FTC has some sort of problem with the idea. However the bigger story is that Whole Foods, in the midst of its legal battles is now attempting to slip a subpoena under the radar that would force New Seasons to give them a plethora of their financial records, business plans, etc. This is bad. Very bad.

I like New Seasons because from what I've read, they started as a protest against Wild Oats buying of the Nature's chain, a local chain that I loved very much. They proceeded to change and close down many of the old stores and made me very sad. So I definitely support New Seasons and am definitely anti- Whole Foods and Wild Oats.
