Whole Foods, You are a Bit of a Naughty Pig

New Seasons vs. Whole Foods. So, from what I've been able to glean, it looks like Whole Foods is attempting to merge with Wild Oats but the FTC has some sort of problem with the idea. However the bigger story is that Whole Foods, in the midst of its legal battles is now attempting to slip a subpoena under the radar that would force New Seasons to give them a plethora of their financial records, business plans, etc. This is bad. Very bad.

Anyway, my brain can't process the information and spit it back out very well, so here's a link to New Season's excellent discription/rant about the process. No more Whole Foods for me (not that I would shop there anyway).

Whaaaa!? Proof Organic is Better?

Sustainablog says that 24 African Countries Double Their Yield Using Organic Farming. That's good news for everybody. You could probably even help out by sending a Heifer gift over to them as well.... hint hint!
