It Must Be Spring...

All the toesies are out to play!
Graeme's mix and match style is pretty sweet..
Brian, Corbin and I got into some pink toe nail polish. It's the only way to really rock the spring weather.

Olympia Craziness

The artisian well is a spring that burbles up out of a parkinglot next to Olympia Outfitters. It's natural and apparently very tastey, but I STILL won't drink out of it.

This is a corn dog advertising the Bees Knees (whatever that is and WHENEVER that is.. it doens't say). Star spotted it roosting in a tree.

This bike was parked and chained in front of one of the downtown stores and has been there since the arts walk a few weeks ago. I really hope someone rode it to work.

Bread, Gulls and Salty Waters

(Bay area)
Jessie and I decided to find some ducks and feed the leftover ends of bread loaves to them. Unfortunately there are signs all over Capitol Lake screaming
"DON'T FEED THE DUCKS! THE POO EVERYWHERE! AND EAT OUR GRASS! AND CAUSE ALGEA BLOOMS! DEATH TO ALL DUCKS!"
Or something of that nature. So we figured that there might be ducks in the bay area so we tramped over millions of shells and squishy, stinky bits and found ourselves by some old railroad tracks.
(Railroad tracks)

(Jessie)
There are no ducks to be found but there was a little seagull.

(little seagull... I will name him Francis)

So Jessie fed Francis the smallest of pieces of bread.

(Friends of Francis)
And then Francis' friends came and we fed them too.

And then we wound up with the entire seagull population of Olympia fighting over a couple of pieces of stale bread. Essentially, we created a scene from Birds and then promptly ran out of bread. Sorry Francis & co. It was fun (and probably frowned upon) while it lasted!

Tadpoles!

Brain, James and I decided to go capture some tadpoles one night becuase we were SUPER bored. Now, I have:
Seven tadpoles
One water beetle
Several clear invertebrates of some sort (hopefully larva that will turn into hideous monsters that will one day battle the likes of Godzilla)
And a coffee pot full of murky water.
