You Dirty HOOLIGANS!

On the tenth, while attending a football game (crazy euro football... not the steroid/testosterone butt-slapping fest WE call football) a fan was shot by the police. There was some sort of roadside fight between the two fans on opposing sides. Violence in the general vicinity of a football game or a conversation about football is fairly common, but the fact that a fan was shot this time made all the difference. In retaliation, hundreds of fans attacked the police barracks and the Italian Olympic Committee headquarters in Rome. Angry, angry Italian hooligans.

All of this has happened before when a policeman was shot during a similar situation. Here's a video of general rebellion during a match. When we went to a football game we noticed that the Italians had pretty much put a cage around the fans supporting the opposing team an we thought that it was totally unnecessary, but it looks like there's a purpose after all.
