Do a Good Thing Today

PetSmart has started selling rabbits.

A year ago, PetSmart refused to sell rabbits because of the high number of bunnies in the shelter (many/most of which don't find homes... and we all know what that means) and to prevent the "Easter Bunny Effect". Parents buy rabbits around Easter for their children without taking the time to research their new pet. Their children quickly grow bored with their new bunny and it eventually winds up at the animal shelter (hopefully). Rabbits can live for about 12 years, the same as a dog, these are not temporary or inconsequential pets. And now PetSmart has started to sell them in 40 stores around the country.

Please, sign this petition (it's all electronic so there's a minimum of effort) telling PetSmart that what they're doing is simply NOT COOL.

I don't think I've ever been this irritated and riled up about anything.

Thank you.
